Laura has provided critical project management and technical research to a large community's long range planning for water quality; researched and wrote a county's integrated e-commerce strategy; and galvanized a neighborhood to understand pressing local environmental issues.
Laura has Masters degrees in Natural Resources and Public Policy from the University of Michigan, as well as an undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from Stanford University. Prior to becoming the mother of three young children and supporting clients with Alexander Resources, Laura was an engineering and water quality consultant for 11 years with firms in San Jose, California and Detroit, Michigan.

Joanne Alexander brings the experience of 15-plus years as an organizational consultant to Alexander Resources, specializing in organization research, assessment, and benchmarking. Working with a number of clients in both the private and public sector, Joanne's projects often involve collecting information from both internal and external constituencies in order to ensure that all voices are heard.
With a background in organizational psychology, Joanne's interests include the relational dynamic in making change happen. From the initial assessment of an organization, through project management and implementation, to leadership coaching on sustaining change, Joanne engages the client at every level. Her strength is her ability to coach her clients to optimize their own skill sets - using the principles of integrity, curiosity and personal accountability.
Joanne received a Masters degree in Organization Psychology from the University of Michigan and was an Organizational Effectiveness consultant with the Watson Wyatt Company for seven years prior to becoming an independent consultant in 1995.
